What do I have to keep on local disk (C:)?

  • I completely restored my computer today because I believe I got a virus and windows wouldn't start. I only have 6 programs on my computer right now. But theirs and huge list of stuff under (C:) and this thing just popped up and said that (C:) was full and that I'd have to erase something but I don't know what I need to keep and what I can get rid of. Help please?


  • those maybe the files of previos windows installation if u didnt format during windows setup.check for a folder named windows.old or check ur program files folder there may be programs of ur previous windows.and also click tools folder options and show hidden files and folders.hope that helps


  • Um... What 6 programs are installed? Also, go into "My Computer" and right click on C: to see if it really is full. If not, you still have something wrong with your computer.
