My mom is going buy me a x-box360 and i don't know nothing about thats so can you get game online or pay?

  • i meaning like can you put your xbox 360 online and get game demos like ea skate wich is the best game for skateboarding or do you have to buy a card or xbox 360 live to get ea skate demo sorry for asking i dont know anything about xbox or xbox 360 i was a sony fan but i cant buy a ps3 to much money and so i went for he xbox360 arcade for 199 yeah sweet and ill buy the hard drive seperilty


  • I wouldn't buy an x-box if i were you. Did you know that the manufactors sent out the x-box knowing that 1/3 of them where defective and would break. MY husband and I barely played ours before it died.


  • You need to buy and xbox live card, either 12 months or whatever. Or you can put a credit card into the xbox and you can buy one from there. And once you have xbox live, when you are at the dashboard you can go to the xbox 360 marketplace and download a lot of demos.

    Or you can just buy the game and play it. You only need xbox live if you plan on going online (not the computer but on the game) and competing against players around the world. But if you just are going to play by yourself you most likely dint need xbox live. Also if you go to the arcade you need xbox live and somtimes you need xbox live points, which you can buy at gamestop or from the xbox if you have a credit card on it . Some arcade games cost microsoft points.

    Oh and when you download the demos, You do not get the full game just a 5 or 10 minute demo so you should just rent the game or buy it

    Also, If you get good at a game, such as skate. There are websites where you can compete on ladders and play against other people.It is a free ladder so you just have to create an account. Make sure you read the rules first. www.gamebattles.com

    PS: Try to keep the xbox flat on the ground and not sideways because if you accidently knock it over while it is on you will mess the game up or even mess the xbox up.

    If you ever get blinking red lights around where the power button is and it wont work, call 1-800-4MY-XBOX or for any other problems if you cant find it on google..


  • Xbox Live Silver is free for anyone with an Xbox 360 and high-speed internet connection. With Silver, you can download demos and videos and such, but cannot play games against or with people. You'll need the hard drive for demos, though.


  • get the hard drive first, the 360 sucks without it. you can get two types of xbox live Gold and Silver. Gold=$50 a year, Silver=free. I think you can download stuff with the Silver but cant play online. Get the Gold it is defiantly worth it. Call of Duty 4=best online game ever


  • you get a free trial for 48 hours but you have to have the game to do it online.
