Can a guy have a bestfriend as a female and really that be it?

  • Me and my ex broke up but i still wanna know this just in case I run into this again. He had 2 bestfriends thats gurls and they spent alot of time together I had a bestfriend that was a guy before but he liked me but never crossed that line but the difference is I always put my dude first. My ex would complain about not having enough time to come see me but he would be over his bestfriend house or with her all day and she dosent live that far from me she drives but he dosent and i overheard him ask her can she take him to my house and she told him no exact words: " f_ck no ***** she may be ya gurl but you my bestfriend and why you call her on my phone, yall aint gonna last so why you wastin ya time. ****** didnt you just tell me you love me so what she more inportant... [[he said yea]] so she said "whateva no you can walk to her house" but i know my dude and like her so i mean what so its obviouse that she didnt like me but is that how it always is can a man and a female be bestfriends???


  • a girl and guy can be best friends for sure if there is no sexual attraction between them and they get on really well.
    i have a boyfriend but my best friend is a different guy and we've been friends for years and thats all.
    it is often hard to accept your partner having a best friend relationship with someone of the opposite sex as there is jealousy involved, because you want your partner all to yourself and dont like the fact they are always around their friend. but if you trust them then it is usually ok in the end


  • Different sexes can be friends or best friends, one of my best friends used to be a guy and we were fine. Although, with 'best' or 'close' friend situations, a lot of the time at least one of the two likes the other - usually never doing anything about it though since they're either too shy/scared or the other doesn't feel the same way.

    Sorry to say, but by the sounds of what you overheard, your ex had/has a thing for this girl she was with, most definitely she has a thing for him and sounds particularly jealous. Just leave them be, and find a better way to spend your time rather than dwelling over him, you deserve better.
